Yellow Dog Eats: Wonderful Vibes and Amazing Food in Gotha, FL

I am so excited to introduce you to one of my favorite restaurants in Orlando! Well technically it is in Gotha, but definitely close enough to the Orlando area and 100% worth the time to travel to! Yellow Dog Eats is a wonderful restaurant that offers amazingly unique food and wonderful vibes and seating options. It is located in Gotha, FL which is only about a 30-minute drive if you are coming from the Disney area of Orlando.

A great part about the restaurant is that they have ample parking behind their building as well as across the street! I love that I never have to worry about being able to find a spot or having to pay for parking. Once you have parked, it is time to make your way inside!

When you first walk into the restaurant, you enter through their back patio and outside dining area. I love the decor and vibe that this seating area has and it is a wonderful place to eat when it is good weather. It gets slightly warm in the summer, but there are fans running that provide a bit of relief. However, don’t fear, as Yellow Dog Eats also has a great inside dining area that is air conditioned!

It is just as fun and inviting once you get inside and this is where you will place your order. You will place your order inside and they will give you a buzzer. Once your buzzer buzzes, head back to where you ordered to pick up your food! They also have an amazing selection of dessert and side options in the cases, so be sure to check those out too.

The truly difficult part of the whole adventure is deciding what you want to eat. Yellow Dog Eats has a large menu with lots of options. All of the menu options have fun names, but it also means you will likely spend a while reading what each of the options are. I have been to the restaurant a few times now, and still spend a good ten minutes trying to decide what I want to order. The menu also has a back side with even more options! Be sure to check the chalkboard by the desserts as they also have daily specials and additional menu items displayed there.

We finally decided on our order and headed upstairs to claim our table in the dining area. There are two rooms upstairs and they offer a good amount of indoor seating. At busier times during the summer, it may be difficult to find a spot inside though.

Now it is time for the best part! Eating! We ordered the Housemade Queso with Flavor Bomb #3 (pineapple salsa, fried onions, shoestring potatoes, Thai chili and scallions). Their queso is so yummy and a great dish to share with the table. It comes with a lot of queso and the flavor bombs have all been amazing! I would definitely recommend getting the queso.

For my main entree, I got the Curry Chicken Wrap with coleslaw. The wrap includes curry chicken salad, smoked gouda cheese, carrots, sunflower sprouts and orange Cointreau mayo. I really enjoyed the wrap; however, it was not amazing. The flavors were very interesting, and the curry chicken salad was really great! It was not as filling as some of the other meals I have had at Yellow Dog Eats and the bites did not have an equal distribution of ingredients. Overall, I did enjoy it but will probably opt to eat something else next time we go here!

Housemade Queso w/Flavor Bomb #3 ($9, $7 for queso+$2 for flavor bomb) – 10/10
Curry Chicken Salad Wrap with Coleslaw ($12) – 7/10

I cannot rave about Yellow Dog Eats enough. It is one of my favorite restaurants in Orlando. I love the vibe and their food is so fresh and they offer very unique flavor combinations.

Yellow Dog Eats usually offers live music on certain nights, however, they have not been doing it for a bit but hopefully they will bring back the live entertainment soon! They also have a great bar located inside and this would be a wonderful place to grab and drink and to sit back and relax! Dogs are welcome on the outside patio.

Thank so much for stopping by and reading! What is your favorite restaurant in Orlando? Happy Travels!
