Walt Disney World Resort Hopping: Skyliner Edition

Disney resort hopping is a great way to spend some relaxing time away from the parks! Depending on whether you buy any food, drinks or merchandise, it can also be completely free! While you can definitely just choose a resort and go to it, I love convivence and today’s post is all about resort hopping utilizing the Skyliner. We hopped on the Skyliner to explore Riviera, Caribbean Beach and Art of Animation.

Let’s Go!

We started our journey off by parking at Disney Springs and utilizing the bus service from there to get to our first resort: Riveria Resort. Disney Springs offers free parking, and you can also spend some time exploring the shops and restaurants there. You will have to go through the security at Disney Springs to get to the bus depot.

All the bus options from Disney Springs

After parking, going through security and walking over to the bus depot, we were quickly on our way! The bus showed up right as we were walking over so we did not have to wait at all. We chose the Riviera Resort as it at a great location on the Skyliner to continue our Disney resort hopping adventure.

Stop #1: Riviera Resort

The Riviera is the newest resort to open at Walt Disney World and it is gorgeous! The grounds are beautiful, and the inside is wonderful. We admired the lobby area and outside spaces, before stopping into the cafe to see their offerings.

The cafe was adorable and had a lovely sitting area next door that looked like a library. I chose the Lavender Iced Tea Lemonade, and I was so impressed with it. It had a wonderful lavender flavor, and you cannot beat iced tea and lemonade!

Lavender Iced Tea Lemonade ($5.49) – Amazing! I would go back just for this drink!

We had already managed to work up quite the appetite, so we placed a mobile order for the quick service restaurant at Riviera and headed downstairs to collect our food! We were so impressed with this quick service restaurant. The food was super delicious! I got a Grilled Chicken Sandwich and my boyfriend got a Croque Monsieur.

The Grilled Chicken Sandwich had balsamic-marinated grilled chicken with a sun-dried tomato relish, spinach-artichoke spread, and mozzarella on toasted focaccia. The combination of flavors was amazing, and the bread was super fluffy and fresh. I chose the romano and herbed fries as my side and I loved how crispy they were!

Grilled Chicken Sandwich ($11.99) – Yum! Yum! Amazing flavors and fantastic bread.

Now that we were filled up on food and drink, we set off to continue our adventure! We spent some more time walking around Riviera and then made our way over to the Skyliner. Big bonus: you get to pass these amazing murals on your walk over!

We walked over to the Skyliner station and hopped on to our next stop!

Stop #2: Caribbean Beach Resort

Caribbean Beach Resort has such a relaxing atmosphere. It was a bit of a walk to the main lobby area, but we walked past some serene beaches and beautiful plants on our way. There is a lovely sitting area, shop and quick service restaurant located in the lobby area. We opted to just enjoy the views, browse the shop and walk around the grounds. Once we had seen all that we wanted, we walked back to the Skyliner Station to journey to our next stop.

Stop #3: Art of Animation Resort

Our final stop of the day! Once we arrived, we headed to the lobby area for some A/C, explore the store and grab some water. Afterwards, we headed out to explore this amazing resort. I love the theme of this resort and it is a blast to explore. There are some many statues and areas to look at!

There are four main areas at Art of Animation: Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King and the Little Mermaid. You are free to walk around all these areas and explore! While it was definitely hot out, we really enjoyed seeing all this resort has to offer. After our walk, we stopped back into the Landscape of Flavors Quick Service restaurant for some more cooling down. Then we decided to end our adventure there and grabbed a bus back to Disney Springs to retrieve our car.

We had a wonderful day, and it was so much fun stopping by all of these resorts and trying some new food and drinks! What is your favorite Disney resort? Do you like Disney Resort Hopping? I would love to hear from you in the comments below! Happy Travels!
