We got SO many announcements from Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) a few weeks back, which included the announcement of six of the ten haunted houses for this year’s event. They came with a fury and we found out about Slaughter Sinema 2, Goblin’s Feast, Major Sweets Candy Factory, The Museum: Deadly Exhibits, Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America, and Triplets of Terror. It has been a bit more quiet since then, which is pretty apt for the next haunted house announcement! The next house announced is A Quiet Place. I would woo-woo in excitement, but I am trying to embody the house and keep quiet.
This is the first IP house announced for this year’s event and honestly I am pretty excited about it. I am very curious to see how they develop the ambiance and make it quiet inside of the house. If you have been to Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) before, you know the event and the houses are anything but quiet. Usually sound effects are played each time a scare actor jumps out at you, which could still happen in this house. And not gonna lie, that would probably make me jump about three feet if I heard a loud noise in the middle of silence. We are getting closer to knowing all of the houses for this year’s event, we only have three more to go plus the themes of the scare zones and icon.
In addition to another house announcement, Halloween Horror Nights also announced a special event a few days back. This event is called the Premium Scream Night and this is the first time they are offering the event. While it is expensive, it costs $350, it sounds like it could be worth it if you are hoping to get everything done in one night. It will be a limited capacity event, that will send you through the houses in groups instead of a continuous line. In addition to the shorter wait times for the haunted houses, you will also be able to experience the scare zones, show, and select attractions. But that is not all, there will also be all you care to enjoy food items and non-alcoholic beverages. It is only select food items, so it is not super clear how many options there will be or if it will be Halloween Horror Nights exclusive food.
The event is one night only on August 29th, 2024. That is the day before Halloween Horror Nights officially opens, so you will also be amongst the first to experience all the horror. While I won’t be opting for the Premium Scream Night, I am very curious to see what it ends up being like. It could be a great option if your main goal is just to be able to experience everything in one night. I prefer spreading out my Halloween Horror Nights escapades and I opt for a frequent fear pass, but I am also local so I am able to take advantage of the pass. I will be keeping an eye on how this event goes and who know, maybe I will check it out next year if it is offered again!
