Halloween Horror Nights 2024 First Haunted House Announced!

I know, I know. You may be thinking, but it is only May? However, also consider that Halloween season begins in August in Orlando, so really we are only about three months out from one of the biggest Halloween events in Orlando. Halloween Horror Nights kicks off on August 30th, 2024 at Universal Orlando, and fans have been eagerly awaiting the start of announcements for the houses and scare zones that will be in thus year’s HHN event.

And we finally got our first announcement!! This announcement happened during the Spooky Empire convention in Orlando, and I am SO excited! The Halloween Horror Nights social media pages have been releasing various videos, and many people have theories about what they mean. But now we have solidified at least one of the houses that will be joining the event.

Slaughter Sinema 2

The first house to be announced is called Slaughter Sinema 2! This is a sequel to a fan-favorite house that was a part of HHN 28 in 2018, Slaughter Sinema. The house will take us to The Carey Drive-In in Carey, Ohio which has been seen a couple of times throughout the Halloween Horror Nights events. Guests were introduced to The Carey Drive-In in the All Nite Die-In: Double Feature scare zone. Thrill seekers also revisited the town in Slaughter Sinema and Welcome to SCarey: Horror in the Heartland haunted houses.

The social media for Halloween Horror Nights posted a brief description of the house. “If you’re dying for a b-movie horror marathon, head to the Carey Drive-in. Scream through scenes from creature features, grindhouse gore, spaghetti westerns and more.” I feel like you can really do whatever inside of this house and that really excites me! Lots of b-horror movie themes and plenty of amazing HHN design and scareactors. We are only one house in, but I am already getting really excited for this year’s event. You can check out more information about Halloween Horror Nights right here, or you can also visit Universal Orlando’s website to purchase event tickets here.
